Peer to Peer: UK/HK is a digital programme and platform encouraging meaningful cultural exchange and forging enduring partnerships between the UK and Hong Kong’s visual arts sectors.

As part of the festival, Hong Kong Arts Centre (HKAC) joined hands with Castlefield Gallery in Manchester to present 3 sets of online and offline AR viewing experiences, collaborated with artists from both cities.

Titled Ways of being together, the audiovisual concert features ritualistic percussion music that investigates the translatability of sound, while barriers exist, what would be filtered and what remains; the other work features a conversation within oneself which reminds us the solitude of connecting to each other through digital tools. With the UK artists physically absent however virtually present in the performance, the artists from two distanced cities present their collaborative works in the Spoken Words Music event.

Peer to Peer: UK/HK is led by Sarah Fisher, Open Eye Gallery, University of Salford Art Collection with Creative Producer, Sebah Chaudhry and Ambassador Jamie Wyld, Videoclub, Brighton from the UK; and supported by Creative Producers Clara Cheung and Gum Cheng, with Ying Kwok as Ambassador from Hong Kong.

The project is supported by Arts Council England.
